Counseling Approach

Tim brings a background in executive coaching, where he focused on helping individuals leverage their strengths to overcome personal and professional challenges. He later integrated this strengths-based approach with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), through his work in hospital settings. While these evidence-based practices provide a strong clinical foundation, the heart of Tim’s approach is serving as a collaborative thought partner, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with insight, confidence, and purpose.

Tim draws from different approaches/interventions as both an executive coach and counselor, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
  • Humanistic
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)
  • Culturally Sensitive
  • Eclectic
  • Narrative
  • Psychodynamic
  • Strength-Based

Outside of the Practice

Tim enjoys rock climbing, cycling, reading, writing, and traveling. Tim is heavily involved in his community and is happiest spending time with his friends and family.
